

Later in the Vietnam War, Wynn spent nearly two months in military hospital after being shot in the chest - 8 out of the 12 men in his squad were killed or wounded on the same day. Two years later, the famous image was used on the cover art to Emile de Antonio's Vietnam War documentary film In The Year of the Pig.
